Some of you probably think I'm this super intelligent (🤣) dude with incredible contacts within the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Sadly, that's not true. I figured I should compile the sources behind my statements into a new thread to keep it isolated from the emotionally charged rants that dominated other threads. Hey, I get the emotionally charged stuff. Fan is short for fanatic and we LOVE our Green Bay Packers.

Jason Wilde provided one of the most level-headed summarizations of everything that I've heard from anyone. If you want to know the raw details, you should listen to the podcast linked below and also watch the Get Up video.

Wilde went on Homer & Tony 4/30/2021 (listen HERE  @ 15:30 on International House of 98% episode)
- explains he could have broke the story himself, but couldn't get Rodgers go on the record
- explains Schefter didn't want to go public with it and get hung out to dry by Rodgers who could easily deny it later
- explains how Packers were approached by Schefter and tried getting out "in front" of the news
- reiterates Mark Tauscher saying it's easy to say "ain't playing" during the off-season and that changes around training camp
- explains he does not think Rodgers gets traded
- explains parts of the story make Rodgers look bad, even petulant to some degree
- explains Rob Demovsky wrote a story where an agent said Packers are working on a "big thing" and that's why they couldn't sign his client
- explains the proof that Packers contribute to the Schefter story
- states Gutekunst lied to him -- I'm not sure what about, but seems Jason is still very much bothered by it
- says Rodgers believe truth is a weapon

Adam Schefter went on Get Up 4/30/2021 (watch HERE )
- explains this story could have been broken a month ago, or even two months ago
- explains the timing was purely coincidental (he broke it so he would know)
- he thinks Rodgers is upset the story broke
- the 49ers trade talk rumors are why the story had to break

In that podcast, Tony says if the Packers called Rodgers and said we're taking this QB to improve the backup position, not to replace you that it would have helped blow some of the steam off how pissed Rodgers was. I agree with this and I believe Gutekunst does as well because last week he said he should have communicated things better.

BTW, a little tidbit I just saw. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet --The draft is the ultimate what-if. In 2020, #Packers GM Brian Gutekunst targeted a WR. He tried to trade up for LSU WR Justin Jefferson, only to see MIN take him. He watched the #49ers trade up for ASU WR Brandon Aiyuk - another target. Then GB moved up to select… Jordan Love.
https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1389231259596075016

From NFL Now: Summing up the #Packers situation with QB Aaron Rodgers, who also wanted more input in personnel decisions... and how the Jake Kumerow release (!!) played into it.

AJ Hawk's spot on Pat McAfee Show (watch HERE )
- says that's garbage too I think Rodgers wants Gutey fired. "I definitely do not think that Aaron is out there trying to say fire Gutey"
- says zero percent change Aaron Rodgers retires
- says he's NOT speaking for Aaron Rodgers, just giving his feeling
- says he thinks it can be repaired, but also thinks it's going to be difficult
- says it is NOT about Jordan Love
- says it's tiny little things that the organization failed to do over the years that got us to this point
- says the contract/money is not the catalyst to the disgruntlement of Rodgers, nor that big of a deal

From April 17th, 2018 Read Tweet HERE
Charles Robinson @CharlesRobinson : Sources close to #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers say he’s growing frustrated with management freezing him out of decisions that impact him. And it may already be weighing on contract extension talks.

Davante Adams with a "random" tweet - HERE
Davante Adams ✔ @tae15adams : Gotta appreciate what u got while ya got it!
And on Instagram Davante posts a goat on a cliff, lol.

Dude wants to be the guaranteed starter.

Remember last year he went on McAfee and talked about pranking Matt, pretending that his helmet radio was broken? I think he was being passive aggressive, they were sick of the shit.

If Jordan Love was ready, Aaron would already be gone, imo. Aaron's been pulling power plays since Ted was removed.

I look at it as Matt and Gutey being sick of Aaron's games. Like the thing Aaron talked about, pranking Matt when he was a first year couch.

They say all the right things, but they think Aaron is being a dick. So they're being a dick right back to him. That's WHY they took Love when they did. That's also why Murphy told Aaron, "don't be the problem."

IMO.

Aaron's been on a power trip since he got Ted relieved of his duties. It's quite likely that Gutey even still has a feeling of loyalty to Ted, and his legacy. Again, IMO.

Silverstein said on the Green 19 podcast, the one with the first day of the draft iirc thst he thinks Aaron never forgave Mike McCarthy all those years for drafting Alex Smith over him, when Mike was with the 49'ers.

I’m at the point where I just want it over with, either way.
Dragging this on just frustrates me.

Anyone else find it amusing/fascinating that the release of Jake Kumerow is the fuse that set this off?

dfosterf (13-Aug) : a lower back injury
dfosterf (13-Aug) : Doubs says he's "fine" after injury scare. Some reported it as z
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : beast, reading about what happened, it sounded like one of those "two guys collide and are moving slow afterwards" type of deals
beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool
packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason
dfosterf (12-Aug) : Doubs, Savion Williams, LVN, Musgrave all banged up to one degree or another, missing one here I forget
Zero2Cool (12-Aug) : RB Tyrion Davis-Price is signing with the Green Bay Packers.
Zero2Cool (12-Aug) : zero help, dominated. preseason

Zero2Cool (9-Aug) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Zero- Did you see what I posted about Voice of Reason and his wife? She posted over at fleaflicker that they are both "In"
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Well, not crazy, it makes sense. Crazy I didn't notice/find it earlier
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (7-Aug) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league
dfosterf (7-Aug) : out on a field trip, outfitting them with little yellow smocks. Most of the little folk were well behaved, but several were like trying
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Yesterday my wife and I spent the afternoon on the waterfront here in Alexandria, Va. A daycare company took about 15 three/four year olds
wpr (7-Aug) : seems faster. yay
