you're going to have to be more specific. I don't know what you mean. the Packers management use Favre's retirement as an excuse. What kind of excuse did they make in regards to favre's retirement?

Does it really matter that they know now? They had Aaron Rodgers for the whole time and it didn't seem to matter.

When Brett Favre wanted to come back, the excuse was that the team has already moved on with Aaron Rodgers, (the train has left the station, yadda yadda) when in reality, that didn't mean a tinker's damn in terms of W's and L's this year. It was just an excuse because they didn't want Favre to return.

i read that as the reason that Favre wasn't welcomed back, not as an excuse. Very different.

Sort of interesting, and I don't mean to bring up the whole Favre thing, but here we go:
