As some have speculated, some of the soft play in the 4th quarter was the coach's fault not inept play on the field.

Not sure who's fault it was... but looked like the team thought the lead was out of reach and got lazy... though that was only one defensive drive, where I believe the QB made two different 4th down plays... and he was more athletic than the main QB they planned to play... and the other TD given up was on STs... but offense suddenly struggled too. All three phases seemed different that for a couple of drives.

Aaron Jones made the game saving play with that long TD run.

This reminds me of 2010 season. The defensive players went to Dom Capers saying they were having communication issues due to the complexity of the defense. They asked to scale it back so they can just trust their talent. That is why we saw the change in the defense during the end of that season. Things were simplified. You'll hear me pound that drum until I cannot pound anymore. Let players play, don't make them think on the field, let them react.

Luckily Hurts did not start the game, because this defense does not know how to contain a scrambling QB. They were up 23-3 in the 4th qtr, then they started playing soft D, and 9 plays later and a 32 td pass, 23-10. Then our lower scoring team in 2nd halfs, (only 3 last week) punts the ball after MVS dropped that beautiful pass. Reagor returns punt for 73 yds and a td, 23-16(7pt game). Luckily Jones took care of business. This doesn't explain the 4th quarter, but this Defense did not do what they wanted to do after their talk with Pettine.........What is wrong with the defense, is it Pettine, lack of talent or combo of both?

I'm only teasing around here. I think packerfanoutwest is starting to excited about this Packers team and such comments are a defense mechanism of not getting his hopes too high. Shit, we all remember 2014. I still punch puppies because of that damn game!!

Hurts is a developing quarterback with decent wheels...thats all.
Alexander and Savage were beaten on the td.
Their OL was banged up, missing their all pro left tackle.
Overall, a much better effort, but lets see how they do against Stafford/Lions, a better test
