In 2018 the Packers and Bears both reportedly offered WR Allen Robinson deals for about $10 million per year... Robinson choose the Bears citing the head coaches new and exciting scheme... yeah how has that worked out for you with those QBs?
Now going into his contract year (and Bears normally get a new deal down before the year), Allen Robinson has been insulted by the offers from the Bears and now wants a trade.
Someone that has compared him to similar WRs, said the similar WR signed for $20 million per year.
This is going to be happening more with the expectation of the cap going down next year which no one forcasted in their contracts, as everyone assumed consistently going up.
But maybe Robinson should have signed with the Packers and gotten a good QB... one that could play well enough that he could maximum his potential.
Though, I still think the lack of another top WR (and passing the ball 67% of the time) is what ended MM, as his system needs elite WRs. Packers current system doesn't need them, but it also sure doesn't hurt... especially with a good QB and a physical receiver.
