I know it's not realistic at this point in time, but so do I.
There are more questions than answers with this defense.

I never wanted him hired in the first place. I want a guy like Kiffin, Johnson, or Lebeau. You have the same defense year in and year. Players come and go, but the product on the field stays the same. A guy like that will cost money though, but it's definitely doable.

:magnifyglass: Under Sanders GB's defense has always played vanilla; whether that's because of a lack of talent or Sanders is afraid to be aggressive is difficult to say. Way too many of the defensive players seem to be grabbers instead of tacklers. That part can be corrected with coaching. Although our LB's have been highly touted I really don't see the quality that was there during the Lombardi era when the LB's made some awesome hits in every game. Phil Begston ran our defense back then and we sure could use him now. Do think Sanders will be given the ticket out of town before next season and special teams coach too. Ted Thompson is a dissembler and rarely says what is on his mind. May well be a bit blind as well regarding certain positions of the team.
