Lot of his comments the last few days have made me really happy he's our WR1. Sure, some will say he's not a legit WR1, but whatever. I've been amazed by his ability to get open off the line since day one. Never seen any one do it as effortless as him, other than maybe Greg Jennings. That said though, Jennings was best was his cuts mid route.

The person Adams is, just feels special. He's really coming into his own as a leader and I freaking loves it!

I never thought Adams would turn out to be what he is, which in my opinion, is one of the best in the NFL.
He seems to be 100% class, and not a “me first” guy, more of a TEAM first guy.
If we can get one of the WRs we already have on the team, to also be a really good WR, our passing game could be really special.
I think Jordy being let go, really allowed Davante to show what he has to offer.
I’m excited about the possibilities this year.

IMO, D. Adams is an above WR. The WR1 designation came for him as a result of default. Being better than Cobb and with Allison injured and with a lot of rookie WRs on GB's roster, Adams ascended to WR1. He also benefited from the departure of Jordy Nelson. As a result he became Rodgers' (an elite QB) most trusted receiver.

I don't dislike Adams, but if he were playing on another team with a QB like Rosen or Allen or Winston last year, we would have had to strain to hear him be mentioned in the sports reports. He owes his success to Aaron Rodgers. I fully expect him to be, the fully healthy Rodgers', #1 target again this 2019 season. However I forsee Allison and St. Brown and even TE Jimmy Graham getting a greater share of the pie in 2019. Also, if as I hope, GB drafts a TE in the 2019 NFL Draft, he too should get his portion as well. In addition, Valdez-Scantling and Kumerow will be eager to earn the respect of Rodgers and LaFleur.

I also fully expect to see a much better Running Game emerge in the new LaFleur Offensive System. It should help the passing attack for the Packers by taking some of the pressure off of it.

Adams is not a Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham or Tyreek Hill, but he is a solid WR and with Rodgers as his QB, will preform above average yet again. Let's hope that he and the other GB receivers will get better with their weakest skill, gaining separation from their defenders and giving their QB a clear target to throw to. It would help keep the QB in the pocket and reduce the need to scramble looking for an open target to throw to. Not only would it help the GB offense be more successful, it should help reduce the risk of injury to Rodgers and to others as well.

Is Adams special, no he is not. His QB is however special and he elevates the play of those around him. Adams should again reap that benefit in the 2019 season.

Smokey, he finished second in the league in TDs in 2017, without Rodgers for most of it.

Adam's is more steak than sizzle. He doesn't have height or speed like some guys, but he can go way up and get if necessary, and his short area quickness is elite. Dude can flat out get open.

He has good height and deep speed, but he's not a 6' 5" guy like EQ or a 4.3 guy like Davis. But that's not what makes him special.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
