The way McCarthy described the firing though it sounded a bit impersonal it also sounded pretty standard. Starting to sound like McCarthy began thinking he was untouchable and let his foot off the gas. The fact that he was surprised by getting fired and thinking it couldn't have been handled any worse makes me think he was as big of an ego maniac as everyone thinks Rodgers is.

I include myself in this statement.

I read the McCarthy story and thought wow Mike could have played the victim, but as he always has, he took the high road.

Tyler Dunn has been added to my "don't read or listen to list".

This will pass.

Another "big" story will happen if not before the draft, it will be the draft

The decisions have been made.

Like it or not, they are what they are.

The draft will come and go, another season will be here soon.

Time to get on board with The Packer organization.

National Sportstalk radio is pretty much a joke anymore.

Local shows in my area actually talk about sports. Probably the same in your area.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Boy Buckeye, in my opinion, your post really NAILED it!
Good job! You made great points, and stated them all well!
(I better stop.....or I’ll make your head too big to put on a Packer hat!😂 )

It seems that what used to be sports news has turned into “shock jock radio”. If you actually just try to report actual sports news, people will tune to the “Jerry Springer” types instead.

And the few times they ignore completely stupid stuff, they get people tweeting and calling saying how can you NOT be talking about this??

They will do what it takes to get listeners.
Otherwise the people will tune to another station, and jobs will be lost.
