I think the Packer GM and President need to take AR aside and tell him he needs to let the new coach BE coach, and for him to do his job and be QB.

And the coach needs to make it known he IS the boss.
If AR won’t do as he is told, then he needs to be pulled out of a game so that he understands that.
If you let Rodgers rule from the start, he will walk all over the new guy.

I honestly don't make much out of it, because they're assuming it'll be the same exact Rodgers relationship (and they could be right, but I'm doubting it).

I think everyone knows the new coach is going to bring in a new scheme... and Rodgers is going to have to experiment, learn it, play with it, before he knows what he likes and dislikes about it... where Rodgers is already an expert with what he likes and dislike with MM scheme...

I feel like KGB is simply talking about Brett/Rodgers personality, where Brett comes off as a good ol country boy... and Rodgers personality/humor is said to be off beat, complex and a bit odd.

I feel like Jennings has a point in that the new coach will have to be strong willed and strong minded, but I think that's true for all of them, to take charge in general... and like I said above, I think there will be a feeling out process with the new relationship to the people and scheme... if LaFleur is a push over then there might be problems, but if he takes control then there will be a honey moon period and if they have success then that will solves things.

As for Finley, for years he's comments have just seemed like generic fan comments, not much insight. The only non-generic comment was when one tries "overcoach him, that’s when he’s going to do his own thing". But that can mean so many different things... including when Finley tried to coach Rodgers on how to throw the ball to him his rookie year... to more important coaching like please use the check downs... but it's so general, it doesn't tell us anything.

But, if you don't know the connect, don't know the story, it comes off massively arrogant and condescending.

First of all you don't have to be an Ex-Packer to wonder if it is going to work. I think every Packer fan indeed every football fan in general is wondering the same thing.

Second, these are the opinions of players who played with Rodgers and I respect them. Lots of fans are going to discount anything Jennings has to say, and to a lesser degree Finley, as sour grapes (I'm not sure if I am using that correctly but you know what I mean) but they have a deeper insight into what was going on than most people so I give what they say some credence.

Third it is pretty much all on Aaron Rodgers. If it is going to work he has to know that as the player he does what the coach wants. Hopefully the coach knows enough to include Rodgers ideas when deciding what he wants and I think that was a big part of the hiring process. They were looking for a coach with some innovative ideas to add some variety but I also think the part of the goal was to find a guy who can work with Rodgers. Of course some fans will claim that means being controlled by Rodgers and doing whatever HE wants but when you have a successful QB with Rodgers ability and experience it would be foolish for anyone to come in and say "I'm the coach and this is the way it is going to be done" without considering what Rodgers thinks.

Lastly if this doesn't work and Rodgers goes rogue on LaFleur it pretty much lends a lot of credibility to the claims some fans have that Rodgers is not a real leader. I don't think age is a big factor at all. If LaFleur takes Rodgers' ideas into consideration, and he would be a fool not to, I think they will get along just fine. If LaFleur says it my way or else there is going to be trouble. Unless of course his way happens to mesh with Rodgers' way.

Writers love to stir the pot....which is why I think most writers and commentators (esp. the Skip Bayless ilk) are worst than worthless.

I don't think Rodgers's "suffers fools gladly." I think like all of us, he had had enough, but obviously couldn't say so.

If Lafleur has good concepts and schemes, it'll work. If not, it won't

Rodgers is the last guy I am worried about...He is the biggest reason we have a shot.

Time to call John Gruden.
Make the trade of the decade
Packers get:
Derrick Carr
Round 1 Pick 4
Round 1 Pick 24
Round 1 Pick 27
2020 Round 1

Raiders get:
Aaron Rodgers
Round 1 Pick 30
Round 2 Pick 12

This will never happen, but why experiment the next 1-3 years seeing if Aaron Rodgers is coachable by LeFluer?

Ted and Mike had the vision of moving on from Brett Favre, no reason a move like this would not work.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Why see if they can get along?
Because if they do, we could be on the way to a few more super bowl wins.
Isn’t that worth trying for?

Rams players comment about Matt LaFleur with the Packers... pretty standard general stuff, but one commented if LaFleur doesn't like something, he'll make sure to let you know... and he sorta seemed to emphasize it... so clearly he was secretively sending a message to Aaron Rodgers to behave 👅
