Are you sure? I thought the two year deal Martellus signed was less than Cook? Or are you saying percent of cap not dollar figures?

I'm talking about average dollar figures of their 2017 contracts they signed. Where Bennett's contract looks like it was $7 million per year, while Cook's contract looks like it was $5.3 million per year.

Edit: Looking at their contracts, if your looking at the cap hits (instead of actually cash money), Bennett's 2017 cap hit might of been smaller than Cooks, but that's based on how the contracts we're set up and how the NFL cap accounting system handles signing bonus.
Bennett got a $6.3 million signing bonus, which spreads evenly over the life of his contract, which makes Bennett early cap hit looks smaller than the actual money amount he got, and is why the Packers have a dead cap amount.
While Cook didn't get a signing bonus, instead he got a guaranteed $2.5 million base salary and a guaranteed $2.5 million roster bonus, which hit the cap immediately in the first year.
But Bennett got more, it's just the NFL accounting/cap hits is misleading for signing bonuses and one had a good sized signing bonus and the other didn't.
But actually cash, Bennett earned more... just the cap hit was coming later because of how the contracts we're set up.
