Aaron Rodgers may be missing the most important quality a top NFL quarterback needs to have. He's brilliant, he can make all the throws, it's undeniable that he's one of the best to ever play. But when it comes to the greatest signal-callers in the game, Aaron Rodgers' lack of leadership sticks out. Take Tom

Aaron needs to prove he's not becoming Jay Cutler. Hopefully, withbthis new coaching staff, he will be adhering to fundamentals and mechanics much more consistently. I think he'll be fine and will bounce back with a great season next year.

Part of that leadership, is sharing responsibilities in a group... and he did verbally try to call some other groups out, but he didn't seem to trust guys on the field, weather if it was the young WRs, throwing them an up for grabs ball, giving the responsibilities to come down with it... or trusting the RBs on check downs (which I don't understand).

Part of that was the scheme asking Rodgers to hold it, to look for the big plays... but I hope the new scheme mixes it up having some throws which Rodgers should get the ball off quickly to not let pass rushers time to get going... and using underneath routes use as RB as a receiver in the passing game.

Moronic article...using the same logic, Marino was a bad leader as well. And Drew Brees was a crappy leader, except when his team does well. Then he is a great leader. Typical hack piece....ass wipe.

I have never felt that Rodgers showed any leadership qualities, nor have I ever felt that the other on field superstar, Clay Matthews has shown any leadership qualities.
The Packers have had a leadership deficit including their former head coach for a number of years now.

he cant win with these idiots, he is too calm not rah rah, then he gets rah rah and everybody says hes throwing guys under the bus, ill take him anytime as my qb, and whats to bounceback from as a poster said, he had 25 tds and 2 int. 4442 yards, 90%of the leagues qbs would kill for that !!

I'm not saying he's one... but I like Alexander, because a bit cocky on the field and it shows, that's the little bit extra... which by the way can be both good and bad depending on where it's lead and lead by whom and what their goal is... which I don't think that cockiness is leadership, but it just feels like the Packers (especially their defense) hasn't had that swag since the Super Bowl year.

From rumors (which I have NO IDEA if true or complete BS), Matthews has strongly attempted to lead many times... but it's come off wrong... like he's trying too hard, forcing it and it makes him seem like a jerk and it's not natural smooth leadership. I can't confirm that, but I do remember "Matthews leadership" got brought up to Sam Shields and his body language negatively SCREAMED... but he gave some politically correct answer... but my interpretation was that (at minimum) "Matthews' leadership" gets on his nerves.

NYRPACK, you don't get it. He is the biggest problem on the team!!
-He doesn't hit the short guys who are open early (even thought the play design and reads were targeting intermediate gain.) Its his fault.
-The lack of running game is his fault, he always goes to the Pass on RPO's....and this is un-motivating to our OL
-His giant salary is causing them to sign crappy players (even though the Eagles have backups on the OL who have started in SB)
-He shouldn't have played if his knee required surgery....that was selfish and stat whoring

Man...you just don't get it

dfosterf (18-Aug) : We do have good depth at running back imo. Still so frustrating. Bitching about it is a futile excercise, which I plan to do anyway.

dfosterf (13-Aug) : a lower back injury
dfosterf (13-Aug) : Doubs says he's "fine" after injury scare. Some reported it as z
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : beast, reading about what happened, it sounded like one of those "two guys collide and are moving slow afterwards" type of deals
beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool
packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason
dfosterf (12-Aug) : Doubs, Savion Williams, LVN, Musgrave all banged up to one degree or another, missing one here I forget

Zero2Cool (9-Aug) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
