I'd like to see Ted bring back that kid that punted for the Badgers and was in training camp.

THANK GOD!

I don't care who we get to replace him. When someone performs that badly week in and week out, a statement has to be made.

I, too, wish we would draft a great punter this year. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing upwards of a 4th-5th round draft pick on one. Many might say a 4th is too high, and perhaps you're right, but a 5th would be reasonable. Think of the immediate impact a star punter would have on our team. Look at what Carolinas punter did to us on Sunday. A good punter and field position cannot be over stated. A good punter instantly improves our special teams and team as a whole significantly.

Have they found a special teams coach yet?

Can Flynn honestly be worse than Frost?

The fact that you're even asking that question is a sad, sad statement on Frost.

Maybe we should have a punt-off between Flynn and Brohm... 🙂

I think it's unrealistic to expect us to draft a star punter--last time we drafted a punter it was in the 3rd round, and we all know how that one turned out--so poorly we carried two punters on the roster that year. Punter is one of those positions where it may take a few years for a new guy to learn the techniques the special teams coach wants to use.

Technique??? You kick the ball.

Frost sucks and it's too bad for Ryan that this went this way.

We're going for it on every fourth down. Punting is for p^ssies!

Well that's just a stupid comment. You punt when you're supposed to punt, but you sure as hell hope that your punter can kick at the very least reasonably well. My thoughts on being "soft" is that I don't think this is a tough hard nosed team that has the ability or the mental toughness to play like that. And when you're not playing well that is even more visible. On the last Packer score, they should have passed the ball. We're not tough enough to run the ball twice and score so you better be passing. McCarthy could have come to the press conference if the pass didn't work and say this, "we're just not good enough yet to run the ball in that situation and so I chose to pass.? No one would have had a problem with that.
