Lets keep our fingers crossed with Clifton. We know he can handle Allen and that's my biggest worry. Nice that we have an extra day too.

In all fairness Clifton's matchups against Allen deserve a closer look. Everyone is quick to point out how he handled Allen week 1 of last year (and the previous year when we played Kansas City); however, that big country bumpkin redneck mullet wearing d-bag ran wild over Clifton in the game at the dome last year.

That's true, But Allen is tough and I think Clifton was having pretty bad knee problems at points last year. Lets hope his ankle wont be bothering him.

Clifton might not be able to stop him all by himself anymore. Especially not while he's still feeling his ankle. If you double-team him with Colledge and Clifton, though, he shouldn't go anywhere.

Yes, I'd take the gamble and put Pat and Kevin one on one with Spitz and Sitton in the passing game. Then put Barbre one on one with Edwards. If he's struggling with that, please bench his ass.

If they try to line up Allen on the other side, just double team him on there. Let Barbre overrun the play a little and let Sitton take the inside. On a 4 man rush, we really shouldn't have that big an amount of trouble. Then again, this is all theoritically.

Stopping Allen is the key. Thre's a reason why they signed him to such a big deal. The pass rush was absolutely horrible without him. Their big DTs are mainly run stoppers. They're really not that amazing rushing the passers.

I worry about Allen one on one with Colledge. I think it's going to be a long day for Colledge if that's his task.

I don't know about you guys, but I am acclimating myself to life after Clifton. I think he's done. I believe this is the final year of his contract, right? He's done. His body is just too broken down.

Clifton will shut the DE down, no problem. It's his holding and false starts that bother me. lol

I think Clifton is done too, but Colledge isn't a LT. I much rather have someone out there who can play the position than someone who should be playing inside.

Although if one of them can play average to above average football, Clifton would be my guess at tackle that is.

I don't think Clifton is "done". Maybe not be as good as he used to be, but he's still VERY solid, I'm not too worried about about an ankle injury. I think Clifton is just taken for granted a bit I think. The only issue with him for me is his penalties.

the issue for Clifton is more and more and more and more and more and more of these little nagging injuries. I mean, ankles, hips, shoulders, knees... he's falling apart. I almost wish he would call it a career while he still has some hope of being able to walk and stand up straight ten years from now. I feel really bad for the guy. He's in a terrible spot. He has the skills, for sure, but his body has surpassed the breaking point.

I agree. I just wish we had a better insurance policy if he hangs it up.

We need a premier LT to protect our stud QB.

Were going to get some things cleaned up, and then were going to put a full week of work into Minnesota, McCarthy said.

omFg! I smiled when he said 'whirlybirds' but this we're going to clean it up crap has been said and NOT done. Find a new freaking line man! If we ain't believing it, how the hell is the team expected to?

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”

dfosterf (14-Jun) : There was minicamp Thursday. My man Taylor Engersma threw
dfosterf (11-Jun) : There will be a mini camp practice Thursday.

Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : How's the ayahuasca tea he makes, Martha?
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : Turns out he like older women
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : I wasn't supposed to say anything, but yes the word is out and we are happy 😂😂😂

Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : Well he can always ask his brother for pointers
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : Bo Melton taking some reps at CB as well as WR
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : key transactions coming today at 3pm that will consume more cap in 2025
