ok Im with the few others here as Zero put "we screwed" - the guys resume looks errr like crap. So oh wow he was the OC of the jags that got fired and the jags really sucked it up this year; What they thought they might win the SB last year and this year couldnt even make the playoffs? ... blake bortles blows btw probably worse then our gum chewing dude thats gone.

i would of liked it better if we would of kept philbin as the OC ...

thats my pessimisim for the day errr and my spelling mistake

Sometimes good people get caught up in bad situations. Nathaniel Hackett would never be offered GB's OC if he sucked. The personal/atmosphere in Jacksonville, as I've heard, is not good. Hackett will help with the game plans, but he will not be calling the plays during the games.

Also, we don't yet know what the new team chemistry will be like. All that I know is that professionals are evaluating and hiring GB's new personal and they should know better than some reporter or poster on a forum site.

Let us give all a clean slate to start with. I'm sure that some would like to move on from their past and focus on the future. Good expectations moving forward is better than placing negative baggage into the mix.

Good luck to GB's new HC and OC and to whomever is hired as the STs Coach. In addition, I wish GB's DC and the entire GB Coaching Staff and GB's Management all the best.

I like & respect Philbin, but I feel like he would have to change his philosophy all together if he were to have stayed. Basically I would’ve seen it as hiring a new offensive head coach, but keeping one of McCarthy’s offensive minds on the team as well.

And the Titans went 4-1 against opponents the Packers are scheduled to face in 2019. 4-0 against the NFC East (which had two in the playoffs and had a pretty good Redskins team until they started losing QBs) and and one point loss to the Chargers who went 13-3.

Also for Hackett and the 2017 Jaguars, in week 3, they put up 44 points on the dreaded Ravens defense... the second highest score the Ravens gave up on the first 13 weeks was 27 points. (In the last 4 weeks the Ravens defense struggled more and gave up 39 and 31 to the Steelers and Bengals).

Also for Hackett, part of his sccuess was using one run blocking TE Marcedes Lewis to the best of his abilities... getting the most out of him (Lewis is currently a FA).

buckeyepackfan (26m) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (28m) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (33m) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
