It's not that Grant isn't hitting the hole--it's just that he really isn't the player everyone thinks he is.
He's not particularly fast. If he was, he'd have all sorts of touchdowns.
He's not particularly strong. If he was, he'd break more tackles.
He's simply a playmaker. It's just that the opportunities have not been presenting themselves. The Chicago game would be the only exception, because everything was going Green Bay's way.
Everyone compares him to Dorsey Levens, and that's accurate--because Levens wasn't particularly great either. In fact, he was a good change-of-pace back in place of Edgar Bennett.
All that being said, I'm not saying he isn't worth his contract. He deserves every penny. I'm just glad that it's more up to fine-print escalators than guaranteed money.
