Disagree. What would Ted Look like benching Grant after that contract extension(not that its Ted's choice, but the man deciding it would not do it)? You don't pay Millions of Dollars to just dump a guy. Jackson has signs of brightness, however has not proven consistent.

I disagree with your reasoning. First of all, Ted isn't the one that benches players, that is McCarthy's job. Second, you put the player on the field that gives you the best opportunity to win, not the guy who gets paid the most money. Plus, Ted shouldn't care "how he looks" having the guy he paid get benched.

On the topic, I think Brandon Jackson deserves WAY MORE carries because we made our big comeback in the second half when Grant was benched. Yes Aaron Rodgers had a huge half, but Brandon Jackson did his part too..... except on the goal line on the last drive (I knew we shoulda done a QB Sneak on 3rd AND 4th down, but thats a different topic lol)

It's not that Grant isn't hitting the hole--it's just that he really isn't the player everyone thinks he is.

He's not particularly fast. If he was, he'd have all sorts of touchdowns.
He's not particularly strong. If he was, he'd break more tackles.

He's simply a playmaker. It's just that the opportunities have not been presenting themselves. The Chicago game would be the only exception, because everything was going Green Bay's way.

Everyone compares him to Dorsey Levens, and that's accurate--because Levens wasn't particularly great either. In fact, he was a good change-of-pace back in place of Edgar Bennett.

All that being said, I'm not saying he isn't worth his contract. He deserves every penny. I'm just glad that it's more up to fine-print escalators than guaranteed money.

That's something I've wondered about. Has Wynn gotten a single carry all season? If not, why was he even re-signed?

He wasn't re-signed. He was just brought back because we put Lumpkin--another RB with big upside--on IR.

He's not getting any categories because he's never activated.

I remember that before preseason that Mick and co we're all singing praise for Jackson and how he's coming along.
Yet they have not given Jackson much of the ball in comparison to Grant.
This season Jackson has shown flashes of potential and has made some big plays.
Jackson and Grant different styles of running will compliment each other and give defences headaches.
Lets start splitting the carries!

If I were a coach I would attempt to run the ball at least 25 times a game especially during this time of the year.

Brandon Jackson should get at least 10 carries a game in my opinion. Grant at least 15.

More runs to Jackson would be great...

Not to mention he has great hands for the short pass game.

They are both fine young running backs.

We are *hella* proud of Bjax here in Husker Nation...way to go Brandon!

dude's got skills. As others have said, expand his role and you got a nice 1-2 punch. I'd give Grant more time - he was a beast down the stretch last year, don't be so quick to tear him down again.

Keep your heads up, Packer fans...get that defense on the same page and you have yourselves a VERY dangerous team. You also have to be happy with your QB situation - not many teams enjoy the comfort the Packers do at the game's most important position.

Anyways - I really can't wait to see some more Jackson in action. Good luck in the last, what is it, 4 games? take some fools down.

I like the one two punch,Jackson is going to be a beast he keeps moving Grant has too,he has a bruised hand that is why he was out,Jackson is proving why we kept him seems the injury bug is gone.

I thought Jackson had a good game filling in for grant who went down with a hand injury. He has shown he is a capabile back in the nfl. The two headed beast approach with Grant and Jackson both spliting runs would keep both backs fresher throughout the season. With the packers going to the power I formation in a desperate attempt to get the running game on track, it only makes sense to put both backs on the field at the same time. In the power I jackson is a sure handed reciever and could setup some great screens or flare passes out of the backfield.
