The Vikings ST might be worse, but our ST always lets us down at the most important moments.

Missed kick in Min, Returns in Car. etc.

Not to say that you're special teams never do that. You got killed against Chicago by the STs.

I think McCarthy said it best when he pointed out the Packers had over 200 more yards of field they had to cover in order to score than the Panthers.

That's what happens when your cover teams are giving up 40 and 50 yard returns and your punter is shanking ever other kick.

That's a little much to overcome. Especially when you are playing 9-3 football teams.

Ye, Like I said, they throw it away when we need them the most.

When we where leading the Bears bigtime, Hester was contained all day. When we play Carolina though, their PR is all over the place.

When we play against Minnesota, our pass defense picks Gus of 3 times, our ST gets a PR TD and our offense couldn't move the ball to save their lives.

When we play NO, all of a sudden our pass defense seems to be all out of sync.

My point is, there's always someting wrong at a crucial moment, the team never seems to play good collectively.

i think yesterday was the 4th time this year rodgers as had the ball in hand and failed to lead the team in a 4th quarter comeback to win the game , until he gets over that hurdle you will always have trouble winning games

And in almost all these games he ALREADY led the team to the winninng TD only to watch the ST's and defense fail to hold leads he created.

A little much to ask when you've got a buck twenty and starting on your own sixteen to lead the team back....again when you just took them eighty yards only to fail to get it in from the 1 and nobody can blame Rodgers for that.

I think it's safe to say we can be much more worried about the failure to maintain leads and finish then to say we don't have a QB who can lead us back to victory with less then 2 minutes left in ballgames.

Mike McCarthy addressing issues as they evidence themselves:

From left to right, Special team punt and kickoff coverage, the punter, the offensive line, the defensive line, linebacker play and turnovers in critical situations.

So I guess we should just ignore the fact that when we score a TD and then allow a 50 yard return which results in a score, then score AGAIN, only to allow a 45 yard KO return setting up the winning TD we cannot mention ST's because your ST's are worse than ours and so therefore we CANNOT even think it could contribute to why we lost.

I learned something today. I had no idea only one team could have poor ST's. I feel so much better already!

What would make me feel better is if the Vikings were ever called for offensive holding, or the officials actually would make McKinnie line up on the line of scrimmage. The Vikings were flat out given the New Orleans and Detroit games by the refs (Yeah, that's right allday, you should have been 1-5 through six games. But like one of my Viking buddies tells me, all that matters is the W. Of course I disagree.

The Vikings ST suck because they have a roster 1/4 full of players who don't belong in the NFL (please see the Jared Allen trade). I attribute our current ST problems to injuries.

ST cost us BIG this year. No matter what the Vikings ST's did or did not do.

With our D as bad as it is, giving other teams 50 yard fields to our 85 yard fields DOES make a difference.

Well with the Williams twins getting 4 games each of suspension... confirmed this afternoon, catching the Vikes just got easier.
