I can easily argue that Sean Payton might have a better system and be a better leader in terms of motivators and creative ideas... but when they announced the Mike McCarthy hiring, I believe Thompson said he was looking for the best man or best person for the job.
There have been a number of question activities that have under Peyton from 'Bountygate' to I believe being accused of abusing people and stealing pain medication... amount others stuff, I think you can question if he's "Packers People" (as the phrase goes).
