I believed he was correct... since the NFL has seen the control of the 53 man roster as a promotion, in theory the Seahawks should not be able to block GM Schneider (with no control of the 53 man roster) from interviewing for a job with control of the 53 man roster.

They knew by illegally blocking Schneider, GB would have to chose between picking someone else or delaying the process by several weeks.

No loss, I suspect, GB's sending invites out to all of their old front office guys is like a big-time high school b-ball recruit listing interest in his home state's state college, it's just a courtesy.
