Here we see Clay doesn't have a reputation of getting these kind of flags.

The Problem? The NFL wants its QB's to last forever because they have neutered the effectiveness of defenses by the massive molestation of the rule book. (FUCK YOU!)

The Solution? Immediately, NFL teams need to start focusing on stripping the ball from QB's instead of sacking them. Do everything you can to smash the shit out of the hand/arm that has the ball. I think this means more corner blitz's with players who are more agile and fast. The other option is to load up with 6 DB's every damn snap and cover until the cows come home.

z, I don’t know if you were serious with your proposed solution, but I really like it. The only problem is, 15 minutes after people start going for the strip, they will say it is illegal to chop a quarterbacks arm.

If you hit that arm hard enough, that bastard won't be able to throw as well. It's win-win ... until the change the rule again.

Adapt and succeed.

It's 2018. We have the technology to have sensors on the QB that detects when he's going to the ground, and deploy in-uniform airbags.

I agree Zero, you can’t sack the QB anymore without being worried if there’s some yellow laundry laying next to you on the field.

Let's just do the in the grasp rule. You want to keep them safe? Make it so the QB is no longer allowed to break tackles. Once they are grabbed they are down. No need to take them to the ground. Shitty, but I'd rather do this if they're going to call a penalty every time we get to them anyway. Or just revert the rule book to 1999 and make everyone sign a no-lawsuit clause or fuck off.

If the officials had enforced the "in-the-grasp" rule as written, the Helmet Catch never would have happened and the Patriots would have won Super Bowl XLII.

Try that one on for size. 💤
