Can someone who knows more about him and his job share their thoughts on the possibility of the Packers losing him?

I don't know much about his job responsibilities, but this trend of other teams poaching the Packer's personnel department certainly is a ringing endorsement of how the Packers run their front office and the Ted Thompson "tree" that is starting to develop.

John Schneider in Seattle
Reggie McKenzie in Oakland
Now possibly John Dorsey in Kansas City or some other GM vacancy

When Ted Thompson retires I would like to see John Schneider come home to GB. I'd hate to lose Dorsey, but wish him good fortune, except of course, when going against the Pack. He has been a "gallant and loyal Knight in the Packers round table". I think it would take a pretty good offer, from what I understand he and his wife both really like Green Bay.

Just about any GM job would be a "good offer". Except Dallas. There may be more money in Dallas than in KC or Jacksonville but at least those GMs don't have to put up with a egomaniac. Yeah I know Jones is the owner, President and GM. But there is:
• COO/Executive Vice President/Director of Player Personnel – Stephen Jones
• Assistant Director of Player Personnel – Tom Ciskowski
• Director of Football Administration – Todd Williams

who does the day to day work. Also consider that Jerry is sitting his kids into the mix as well. Jerry Jr is Exec VP and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Stephen Jones Chief Operating Officer / Executive Vice President / Director of Player Personnel
