Time to get on board, freaks!

Admittedly, Hundley has appeared to struggle at times. He's running the offense from a textbook, just the way Mike taught him. He plays football like he's trying to carry a delicate teacup across the room on a saucer. Careful! Careful!

But last week, Mike opened up the offense for him. Now it's time to execute like you are stabbing your finger into your enemies wounds. Like you are punching him in the face. Like you are hurtling a tomahawk into the weak spot of the defense!

Break things down into chaos. Benefit from that.

It all starts today, man!

I sure wish I had your optimistic attitude. I am hoping for constant effort from all three phrases of the game and no let ups. It'll still be a loss, but at least make it 60 minutes without any major mental errors.

Hundley has multiple problems... though it's getting better most weeks, but when he gets rattle he reverts back...

Hundley does not naturally
1) look down field,
2) feel comfortable in the pocket
3) Step into the pocket
4) trust his protection

It seems to be simply as this, when Hundley feels comfortable, he can move the ball. But when Hundley feels uncomfortable, he screws up and becomes more uncomfortable, which leads to more screw ups and this is a continual downward spiral... that once Hundley is in, he can't seem to get out of.

Kirk Cousins had a similar problem in that once he had a big screwed up, he'd want to redeem himself and would do something high risk and usually stupid... which lead to an even bigger mistake. Redskins got him out of that (in the short term) by running the ball 2 or 3 times after his mistake, so he could cool off and not make the second big screw up. Of course, Cousins didn't have the pocket trust problems, and had a better OL and running game than Hundley does at the moment as well.

I think we can beat Pittsburgh if we get a great pass rush. Our run D has been great but might take a hit without Clark. Steelers sometimes play down to their opponent so if we can get Ben uncomfortable and keep the pressure on all game (we haven't really been able to do that this year) we have a shot and if we win we're still alive. Hope they can pull it off.

134.3 qb rating ...3 turnovers...near equal time of possession . How the Hell did we lose this game?
Hundley looked night and day better than last week but still struggles with a rush. He stepped up nicely in the pocket for 2.5 quarters but when we needed him most the demons would show up again. The lack of any kind of pass rush haunted us tonight...big Ben had all day and made us pay one too many times.
