Back to the topic here. We all agree, the Packers could have done better at building the roster. If not, let's just say we do for sake of argument.

What if this season is an eye opener to the staff and they are more aggressive at filling holes and building depth? They still use the draft primarily, but add in free agents here and there to round out the depth? Primary example, the back up QB can't cut it so they bring in a veteran who can?

Those who hate the regime, those who want, err DEMAND change ... if this were to happen, would you be able to root for the Packers to win then?

So far, it's paid off. They're better than they were last year at this time!

#Rich #Irony

There's not a person on this planet of reasonable capacity that wasn't taught something and or believes something. I've seen hate, and lots of it, flow through you, B. Speaking to civility? Well...

I would find it hard to disagree with the idea that it's more beneficial this team loses every single game and experiences major change vs. winning a few more and finishing around 8-8 and keeping the status quo.

Who wants this team to lose? I don't think there's anybody. If I could have it my way, Hundley would be better than Rodgers and we'd roll to a SB win this season. That doesn't look very likely and I already believed in my heart of hearts we had no chance even with 12 and needed changes, so, for me, I'll be more than happy to see us tank while wishing it didn't have to be that way.

I've said this, previously, but I think 5 years or so from now there will be an entire mass of people who will all of a sudden start espousing the very same viewpoints they're panning here today. It happened with Favre, and the type of guy he really was, and it will happen with this regime when everyone has the ability to really look back and not be "in the moment". Only then, like with Favre, will we see what some of us already post about. While not as dramatic, as the old, "wrong side of history" refrain, you will surely be on the wrong side of Packers history for whatever that is worth.

You set forth an argument that I’m hating; but you don’t support it. Instead you purport to support this by you launch a direct personal attack [ad hominem logic fallacy]. This method is not intellectually honest, lacks all scholarship, its irrational…it is the way a young spitefully minded child makes their points. Have I ever flagged kiddy crap like this? NEVER, I am a rapid fan of unfettered open debate.

As ALWAYS, I’ll either ignore the attack or if knowledge can be advanced, I’ll respond to an attack by addressing the argument made with civility and scholarship.

Here your petulant emotional childish argument is exposed for its rational weaknesses, not with “hate.” Maybe it embarrasses; perhaps it should 😂. But, know transposing your feelings of embarrassment because of the childish crap that YOU wrote into an expression of my “hate” is futile. EG. I may present the solid argument that shows Trump is a war criminal targeting civilians in Syria and Iraq and confederating with Saudis in Yemani genocide [See 60 minutes last week]. Surely, Trump would see my argument and the broadcast as hate; but that doesn’t make it so; it’s simply a scholarly judgment that he thinks reflects badly on him. If he doesn’t like it, he needs to quit growing more generations of terrorists and stop it. If he started doing these things to Canada, soon we’d be talking about Canadian terrorist threats.

Likewise, if I’m tearing down your arguments in a way that you feel is "hate [to use your word];" maybe, just maybe, your focus should be inward reflection on who you are and what you are portraying yourself to be. If you say something positive, I’ll never hold a previous childish idea you’ve had against a good one. Again, using your word “hate”, I might “hate” on your argument; but I don’t hate on you at all.

That said; sure tanking the season gives us a better pick; but it also means we have a bunch of players that agreed to not take pride in winning and playing as good as they can. So we theoretically get a 2-3 slightly better players by injecting cancer directly into the team’s life’s blood. This is a perfect paradigm of the cure being infinitely worse than the disease. I want players that will fight to the end.

And it won’t change a thing. The Board is made up of businessmen that think like businessmen. They don’t go batshit crazy because the team lost a few. They see good as the enemy of bad, while striving for perfection. They understand that in a downtime the wrong changes can make things A HELLEVA LOT worse. They are the opposite of some childish impetuous owner that plays with his team, like a boy coming into puberty plays with his wanger. McCarthy will be here for a LONGGGGGGGGGG time if he wants. And they love a person with Ted’s stable unemotional style! Schneider will NEVER be GM.
