6'4" 227lbs and clocked in 4.4 seconds in the 40.

German wide receiver Moritz Boehringer had team visits with the Chiefs, Packers, and Vikings last week, as Andy Fenelon of NFL.com writes. On Monday and Tuesday, he met with the Rams, on Wednesday he'll visit the Seahawks, and next week he'll visit the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers. Boehringer started turning heads in the NFL last month and one scout [...]

We've already got Janis, but for some reason, they want another guy just like him.

Sweet, another talented player for MM to leave on the bench.

Looks like a great set of hands and another gear when needed. The quarterback on that team looked promising Also. If we learned anything last season you can never have enough weapons in the receiver corps.

There is going to be an even bigger discrepancy in the talent he faced vs the talent Janis faced in Division II. While that video showed his highlights, it also shows how incompetent the defenders were.

I do believe the Packers are in need of a WR but they need to take someone that is going to have an immediate impact and probably pick around the 2-3 round. Last season showed a glaring hole in our WR group when Jordy went down and then to make it an even bigger issue, Montgomery went down with a season ending injury. Abby shines but is a huge injury liability. Janis sits the bench. Cobb is the only one that can consistently stay healthy and I am not willing to write him off after one bad season.

If the Packers take him with the 7th round pick, fine. They can mold Janis Jr. However, if the hype around this guy is anywhere remotely close to his actual talent a team is going to have to stash him on the 53. He will be yanked from a PS immediately because of his physical attributes alone.

I'm still not sold on Abby, Janis or even Adams at this point but I doubt I'd be any more sold on a day 3 guy either so unless we spend a high pick on a WR it's going to be a wait and see game just like we have been doing with many of our other guys. If anyone is looking for improvement in our WR corp I don't see it happening this year unless someone falls into our lap because even though Ted Thompson says he is a BPA guy my guess is in rounds 1 and 2 the BPA is going to be a lineman or a linebacker.

Good for the kid to have some hype around him. It will make him a bit more money. I just don't know how any GM will think that this kid will be able to play other than in limited situations unless the guy is unbelievably dedicated to reading and digesting the playbook and can translate it in practice. The competition jump will be huge along with the complexity of the game.

I see a lot of straight line speed, but not much route running. Plus, as was already stated, what is the level of competition he faced over there as compared to NFL level? His speed might be closer to "average" NFL speed.
Being the best of the "so-so" doesn't mean much.
