I hear Lovie is available now and he is a way better head coach than MM.

Why do people always bring up Packers teams of the past that didn't have HOF qb's, as if that is somehow a good comparison to today's team? Those teams stunk because they had no quarterback, not because the coaching was bad. When you have a quarterback like Rodgers your expectations better be pretty stinking high. The fact is we've been lucky as hell to have Favre and Rodgers back to back over a 20 year period and all we have to show for it 2 SBs. The Giants have done the same with Eli frickin Manning

How many coaches are going to have bad success with a quarterback like Rodgers at the helm?
Answer: Hardly any

But I disagree on your premise that having a good QB = SB wins and if you don't get SB wins the coaches stink. There are a LOT of factors that go into winning a SB, not just QBs and coaches.

How old are you? Just wondering. Having suffered through the 70s and 80s, we had some good quarterbacks during that period (Lynn Dickey, Don Majkowski, for example), and we were lucky if we made it to the playoffs.

Would your honest answer have been zero?

Plus, Dickey and Majkowski aren't Aaron Rodgers good

I feel that McCarthy cost us a SB appearance and a likely SB win last year.

IMO, McCarthy is a good coach, not a great coach. He put us in position to win the NFC Championship last year in a game that a lot of people here were saying that Seattle was going to beat us like a drum. But then he went and blew it with piss-poor game management at the end that allowed Seattle back in it. He took his foot off the peddle and tried to run out the clock WAY too early, when we were up by only 12 points. Set us up for the on-field execution failures ending.

And that's something I'm having trouble letting go of. He's a good coach, but to me he's forever going to be the coach who gave away the SB.

He hasn't adjusted to Nelson's absence & that will always be my biggest complaint with McCarthy. He can't adapt

Why is it teams like New England and Denver go out try and make a move to better the team and put themselves over the top. I don't know that Ted didn't try anything, but history tells me he doesn't Band-Aid with a known commodity when players go down.

Still loving this latest draft class though. It's a shame Ty got hurt. šŸ˜ž

wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt ā€œice coldā€
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
