Nah. Teams will look at his body of work. Been a head coach for 13 years. He has 125 wins with a .618 .
More than likely he's earned enough money to retire so why drop back down in the pecking order and be subject to a HC that may make mistakes and hinder his chances. At 56 if he's got to wait 3-4 years before getting another HC gig most teams will say he's too old and not hire him.

I would be completely shocked if he is only offered coordinator positions. I think he's proven he has what it takes to be a HC. If I'm the Jets or Browns or some team with a highly invested (high draft pick) QB or a team that has a high 2020 NFL 1st round pick to use on a QB, I'm grabbing McCarty.

Excellent thought GBG...I think it would be a great fit for him...I still would not rule out Cleveland. I don't think personality wise, Mike McCarthy is a great fit for NY

Also, now that I have watch a 5 minute excerpt of this, I thought I was going to be impressed, but I came out of it more so worried about Mike's health than anything. Not trying to be offensive in anyway, but he does not have the head of a healthy person.

However, I am really happy to see he seems to have put his stubbornness aside and done the work to evolve. Good for him.
