Tretter got overpowered a lot in this game. He's not nearly as strong as Linsley and he will always struggle with power players, which is the majority of the defensive tackles he's likely to face. He does seem to move well, though.

The Cobb dropped passes has be baffled. Does he need glasses or something? He usually is dependable.

If our D plays like it did Sunday, we have a chance to go deep into the playoffs.
If they revert to the prvious 3 games, then we are dead in the water.

Also true.
But our D held Adrian Peterson to 45 yards. That was pretty outstanding, and I didn't expect that. I thought he'd run all over our guys.
He ran over defenses all this year, and our guys stopped him in his tracks and didn't let their QB beat us.

Clay Mathews is great, Ha Ha is having a good season, Shields is a good cover corner, and Randall is becoming a decent starter already. That's a talented defense. Probably not top of the league, but there's no reason they shouldn't end the season in the top 10-15 scoring defenses, if not better. There's no excuse for giving up 500+ yards in a game. That's mostly on the coaches, imo. There are enough "good" players available to Dom Capers to consistently field a "good" defense.

Having four offensive drives that didn't even eat up 90 seconds didn't help the Packers defense against the Chargers. Add a 3 and out that took 2 minutes and 10 seconds and yeah, your defense is going to get roasted.

5 Punts and a safety really helps the Broncos.

The 9 punts didn't help at all against the Lions either and the could have still won the game if Mason Crosby bangs it through.

When the offense moves the chains and eats some clock, the defense doesn't look like Swiss cheese.
