statwhore

This is where the wheels come off.

JUST KIDDING! This Packers team has a tendency to play up to it’s competition, for at least the two quarters during which they actually show up. (Or sometimes down to their competition, as we saw last week.)

The problem for the past three games is that they haven’t shown up for those two quarters.

Well this is where the Packers love to be. They are now in a position with their backs to the wall, a truly “must win” situation. That’s where they put themselves in ’10 before they made their run. That’s where they put themselves in games on a routine basis. They are incapable of just playing well and putting other teams away.

If the Packers lose today (and I don’t think they will,) Mike McCarthy will be on the hot seat. They pissed away a Superbowl appearance (and quite likely a victory in that game) last year and now are doing the same with this season. But I do not believe they will lose.

The Packers will win this game, right the ship and make a playoff appearance, without having to earn the dreaded “Home Field Advantage.” Not sure how they’ll do in the playoffs, but they’ll be back to their usual “show up for two quarters and get a victory” lifestyle, and everyone will be happy again.

Will this “FAIL as much as you can before you really start trying” tendency cost Mike his job at some point? Yes. I just don’t think that time is now.

I’m a little bit disappointed in Aaron this week for, 1: faking an injury as an excuse for his statwhoring and shitty play and 2: hiding behind his girlfriend’s twitter account to attack Demovsky over his recent article suggesting that Aaron might be having relationship issues. When Greg Jennings sister did that, everyone reacted quite negatively.

Disagree? Bring it!

I disagree. The Packers will come out with a solid first drive or second drive and then fall to the way side. The Vikings are too good in comparison to the Packers in all three phases of the game. Their QB is playing better than our QB. Their RB is superior to our RB's collectively.

Mike Zimmer defense is taking form and when previous Zimmer defenses faced Aaron Rodgers, they whooped up the Packers.

The Packers will get doubled up this weekend unless Rodgers is on target.

The only change the Packers have is if Rodgers is on target and WR catch the ball. If that does not happen, which it won't, the Packers are going to lose by double digits.

Agree and disagree.

I agree with you nerdman about Rodgers being really really annoying with his behavior and his comments. Demovsky is indeed and idiot but tell him yourself, what kind of person sends a girl to say things to a man?

I disagree about the Packers playing well 2 quarters. We play like shit all game long, what happens is that once ahead the other team start using a prevent defense and we start taking more risks so it seems we are playing better but actually the other team is playing softer.

I agree with Zero about our first drive being usually a good one and then we implode. We've seen this a lot lately so we are used to it.

This game is a fight of forces, on one side our crappy preparation and Mike McCarthy on the other side the Vikings that are due for their annual great slide, a tradition they have honored for years.

So I think it all depends on the Vikes, either they shoot themselves on the foot and start their slide or they just win because we have lost our identity.

Admit it, this team is not really that good. It basically revolves around Rodgers. If he plays lights out, then they win, anything else and it's a loss.

Sorry Nerd, I asked the "Magic 8ball" if the Packers would win like Nerd said and he/she said "it is doubtful".😕

Zero2Cool (9h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (9h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (12h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (12h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (13h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (13h) : Thank you
wpr (13h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (13h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (13h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (13h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (14h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (14h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (14h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (15h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (15h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (15h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Ben Johnson as their head coach. (via @tompelissero )
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Looks like Lions OC Ben Johnson is going to be the Bears coach
