Earlier today I learned a fellow Packers fan has passed away from a battle with Cancer. The person went by the screen name of JustJeff and he was an admin/moderator over at www.PackersNews.net. JustJeff frequented PackersHome between February and October of 2013 and during his time he was always informative and respectful.

I didn't have the pleasure of ever meeting Jeff, but anytime someone passes away, there is a degree of pain felt.



Separately, it kind of makes me wonder if we've lost any other members over the last 9 years that PackersHome has been around. I hope not.

JustJeff was from the original press gazette forum family AKA Julies World circa 2000 or so... in the packer forum world the original 3 were Julies world...Chatters and PF.com. Jeff spent time at all 3.

He started news.net with a couple others after Julies world turned nasty and full of trolls right before Favre and GB split. He was a true gentleman that loved to talk packer football. I can't stress enough how active he was on forums in general. He kept IP and emails of people he ran across over a span of 10 plus years.

It's a big loss for the packer forum family. Jeff fought a long battle with Cancer and passed at the young age of 59. He is survived by his wife and son and 2 grandchildren.

RIP my friend ...until we meet again.
