The Packers ( Ted Thompson ) know as well as everyone else that thy need CB's and LB's. However they can't reveal their draft strategy.

The Packers chose Clinton-Dix in the last draft, it was no secret then that the greatest need for a Safety.
The year before that, the cry went out for a Running Back, as a result Eddie Lacy was picked.

Opinions are like faces, everyone has one. I have discovered that the Packers have a great poker face, yet will most often play their cards smartly. I still don't trust Ted Thompson to always do the right thing, so now it is simply a waiting game.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Good/great players make a difference regardless of what position they play. I believe our line looked better last year because we now have a good center, the Ravens D was good because it was built around ILB and the Cowboys offense was much better this year because of a center and running back. Those positions are generally lower valued positions but they are still important. The way I see it the team must be decently talented at all positions. If it has a weakness it will be exploited by good coaches.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

I believe corner is the biggest difference between a good and great defense. It is no coincidence that the Patriots finally got over the hump again the year they have Revis and Browner at corner. (The same reason I don't think win it this year)

An argument can be made for a top flight safety also. Revised and Browner had an easier job knowing that McCourty is backing them up. Same with the Seahawks. Sherman can do all that talking because he has Earl Thomas to erase any mistakes and Chancellor to be the enforcer if they go across the middle.

However I would rather show it as DL > DB, reason being that succes against the run game, and the amount of attention and manpower dedicated to stopping the run, along with the passrush they bring, it of more importance that the DB contribution.

The CB position's for the Packers NEEDSgood players. I believe that Ted Thompson will draft a CB first and call it the Best Player available.
