Sorry about the bad table formatting😥
The Most Important Guys in the Draft Room may have been the Medical Staff
Dr. Patrick McKenzie - Team Physician and Bryan Engel - Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer
If we want to be negative, we can examine the guys we are counting on to contribute and observe that they bad senior years as their results were impacted by health issues. As a result, they are risky picks. They include:
Rnd Pick Injury2 TE Musgrave MCL
2 WR Reed Multiple
3 TE Kraft Ankle
5 WR Wicks Hip Flexor
6 Carlson, K, ACL
Will those issues be resolved? Let’s hope so. I can’t imagine the pressure on the medical staff to make the right call on these guys…I would not want it.
To be positive, I can recall a former 1st round draft pick who Ron Wolf traded for after he had a marginal senior year. He was recovering from an automobile accident. That one turned out pretty well for us!!
I have high hopes.
