The NFLs punishments are becoming so arbitrary. I don't really know what Petersons punishment should be but I don't really think it should just be decided by one dude based on nothing but how he feels about the situation and the person who broke the rules. Kind of like Ray Rice, if a player right now did the same thing he'd get a 6 game suspension per the league rules but Rice is still suspended because Goodell goofed and caused the NFL to take a huge PR hit so now he takes it out on Rice and dishes out extra punishment. The way they are dealing with personal conduct issues is just a complete joke at this point.

I can see Peterson now.....as he's being questioned by reporters.
Reporter:"so Adrian, how do you feel about Goodell suspending you for the remainder of the season?"
Peterson: "I'm ticked off. If I had a stick right now, I'd beat him with it!"[duh] [grin1]

Rumors out of Dallas have The Cowboys tagging Dez Bryant next year which will leave Murray exposed to FA.

They may have a need for Peterson if they do not protect Murray.

Even if Peterson was reinstated for this week, I don't see him being in "football shape", and being able to contribute.

Not worried either way.

The Cowboys own the media down there. Literally.

I've also heard AP has kids down there, so maybe he's got family or something. Where's he from originally?

Jerry Jones like to make headlines. He wants to make a deal. We all know that.

Haven't you seen those idiotic "NO MORE" commercials during games? Political propaganda. WAR IS PEACE. ENSLAVEMENT IS FREEDOM.

Assume that Peterson served 6 months or a year in jail over this case. Would the NFL still suspend him for an additional 6 games upon completion of his legal punishment. I highly doubt it.

If the Vikings want to cut ties with him based on his actions, that is clearly their right as a business as long as it doesn't breach a contract. The NFLs job is not to punish for our legal system, which is what they have done now in regards to Peterson and Rice.
