With jacked up prices and a 2 nite stay required people will still stay in Oshkosh. It is only a 45 min drive.

I think for real games it would tend to make things more competitive. For the Super Bowl, it's all about NY Marketing D-bags and their corporate buddies. The requirement of adequate hotel space is why the Super Bowl won't come to Green Bay.
Of course, what they tend to do is offer a Super Bowl to cities as an incentive to get them to finance a new stadium as a form of billionaire welfare, and Green Bay, with the FINEST AND MOST RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP IN ALL OF PRO SPORTS just asks its owners to pony up the dough when it needs it ($200 paper for the win!) so it doesn't need the incentive.
