He got penetration on one play, forcing the running back to change his direction, where other Packers defenders were waiting. The announcers credited Mike Neal, but it was Datone.
Offensively, I thought the Packers looked phenomenal. The o-line looks as good as it has under McCarthy, the running game looks great, and Rodgers looks ready for the season to start.
The defense looked faster. I'm still a little worried about the safeties in coverage, but Micah Hyde takes amazing angles to the football. It's night and day compared to M.D. Jennings and Charlie Peprah. Remember Charlie Peprah?
They don't play any good offenses this preseason, though, so it's hard to judge. I felt good about the roster prior to training camp and I haven't seen anything to change my opinion.
