For the second preseason week in a row, the Green Bay Packers were able to avoid any major injury and saw plenty of potential from the young players on their roster. Jeff Janis in one game has overshadowed Myles and Kevin. I wonder if there is still a spot on this team for either of those guys when all is said and done.

The backup offensive line issues are indeed a bit concerning if one of our starters were to miss significant time this season. Let's hope one or both of those guys (Sherrod/Adams) have a bounce back this upcoming week.

If TE could get a grade right now I would give it an incomplete. I am curious how game 3 of the pre-season changes that grade for me if it does at all.

I like the potential of our TE's I just have to see some more positives before I can fully get on board. I really want to believe in Quarless, but for every nice play he makes, it seems he makes 2 bad ones.

I counted about 3 or 4 nice ones for Quarless, to 1 bad one, and that doesn't even count good blocks - which were harder to pinpoint on TV, but good runs seemed to be where he set up several times. Hopefully Rodgers (the TE) has more than he showed in the first game I've seen him. I've always been kinda negative about Bostick - people say he reminds them of Finley, to which I say, "yeah, me too" - which is why I'm slightly negative about him. I hope we see more of Stoneburner instead of cutting him and having him surface as a decent TE with somebody else.

Sherrod and Adams looked awful, but St.Louis is supposed to have good DE pass rushers, and Sherrod did seem better later than at the beginning. He had a lot to do with Tolzien not looking too great. I had been negative about Flynn, but he impressed me with his arm strength.

I now wouldn't be surprised to see us keep 3 QBs and 5 WRs - a sixth would have to stand out enough to merit cutting somebody decent at a different position, and IMO, so far, nobody has.

Offensively, I thought the Packers looked phenomenal. The o-line looks as good as it has under McCarthy, the running game looks great, and Rodgers looks ready for the season to start.

The defense looked faster. I'm still a little worried about the safeties in coverage, but Micah Hyde takes amazing angles to the football. It's night and day compared to M.D. Jennings and Charlie Peprah. Remember Charlie Peprah?

They don't play any good offenses this preseason, though, so it's hard to judge. I felt good about the roster prior to training camp and I haven't seen anything to change my opinion.
