TOP is a stat you seem to hand $20.00 too every chance you get.

The Packers have had a positive TOP every year McCarthy has been coach.

musccy, I was thinking more along the line of him staying out of trouble with the law, substance abuse etc.

If I had to hazard a guess, I would think he could use team facilities and meet with staff, medical etc but I'm not sure about him practicing. I remember Tretter practicing with the team but I don't think they ever activated him. There's a window for this isn't there?

My hunch is he can't practice with the team if for no other reason it's a waste of time for the active roster and coaching staff. However I'd hope and assume he can still be engaged in other way, still on the sidelines, etc.

That is if the Packers still have interest in him, according to reports his first impression with the team has been dreadful.

At this point I'd be surprised to see him make the team even if he wasn't injured. It doesn't even sound like he's been the best UDFA TE so far.

It doesn't matter how many times they have to get on the field on D if they go 3 and out every time, the worst they will be on TOP is even.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

For those wondering, this article, that is now in headlines, pretty much explains what options The Packers have if Lyerla stays injured thoughout Training Camp.

They place him on IR and he is not allowed to practice with the team the whole year.

I guess ted will make his decision when the time comes.

Waive him and finish the injury settlement and sign him to the practice squad, if someone else wants him for the active roster, good riddance.
