I would like to add that Daryn Colledge has a ring and Dan Marion does not. Thus, Colledge should be in the Hall of Fame.

Jordy Nelson
Randall Cobb
Jarrett Boykin
Davante Adams
Jared Abbrederis
Jeff Janis

I don't see Chris Harper muscling his way onto this roster. Unless Janis can't catch.

Face it, the championships argument will always be used when it supports your claim and dismissed when it does not.

Just as some fans will continually tell rival fans to quit living in the past in one breath and bring up any number of past accomplishments from their team in the next.

Whatever works to your advantage I suppose.

I wonder if it works with other positions as well? Was Max McGee a better WR than Calvin Johnson? He must be, he has two rings has two SB rings to megatron's zero.

I'm aware it will probably never go away, but it's not going to stop me from dispising it as an argument. It's, at best, intellectually dishonest, which is I suppose the point you're making about whatever works to your advantage.

I know we are off the rails again but Otto Graham is commonly offered up as one of the best ever (I still say Unitas). The problem with such arguments is that you are comparing different eras and not taking into account a lot of other factors like matchups and the rest of the team. Is Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer greater than Dan Marino?

Pittsburgh fans commonly discount any championship that takes place before the Super Bowl era like winning it all with a much higher talent pool doesn't count.

Brett Favre was not responsible for stopping Terrel Davis. Otto Graham never faced Deacon Jones. Dan Marino never got to hand off to Hornung and Taylor.

Tarvaris Jackson also has a SB ring. He's clearly among the greats.

Gosh, did I ignite this "RING" firestorm? And just by commenting that Aaron Rodgers is the greatest QB in this history of the world? Actually, I didn't even word it right; I shoulda said Rodgers WILL BE the greatest QB in history by the time he his done. Right now, that honor goes to BRETT FAVRE!

Jump Ball hahahaha.

I say again, Bart Starr was the hero of the team I loved growing up. However, who you have playing with you and coaching makes a huge difference in winning championships. It also makes a difference who is playing against you, including how many teams are even in the league.

I would take Aaron Rodgers 10 times out of 10 over Brett Favre even if Aaron's career was already over today.
