Profootballtalk via Bill Michaels Radio Show “No doors are closed yet, and we’ll see what happens,” McCarthy said on The Bill Michaels Show. “It’s always something that I think you have to be realistic about in the National Football League. I would love to work with all three of those guys again.”

The only guy I ever recall MM saying they moved on from was Brett Favre.

The Packers have maintained all offseason that they are open to a return from tight end Jermichael Finley if they think his neck is sound after last year's injury and subsequent surgery and nothing has changed on that front. Head coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday that the team hasn't moved on from Finley for...

Pickett might have a year left. I'd like to see Jolly too, if he's healthy. They should bring him back and just PUP him, in case we need him later on if a bunch of guys go down.

I don't like this whole idea of getting "smaller and quicker" on the Dline.

Hell No at any price for Pickett; Hell No at anywhere near what he probably would get if deemed healthy for Finley; OK on Jolly, but no big deal if he is gone too.

Bottom line on all three is they would be taking roster spots from players of more value.

I hate to spend much time agreeing with Texas, but he's right. Hehehehe.

Our D sucked last year. So why would we want 2 of the big guys up front that were actively involved in the sucking. Younger, faster, cheaper replacements are available.

Finley, ehh. There appear to be adequate replacements on the roster that cost less and talk less. For all of his greatness, he didn't win anything for us. Missed the Super Bowl season (most of) and has continually been hurt. Move on.

What happens if a couple of guys get injured in training camp?

What happens if midway through camp, these young guys don't show the improvements that are expected of them?

I think it's a good idea to have Pickett and Jolly as 2 guys to fall back on if needed.

As much as I like the draft and develop system, sometimes a proven vet, even if he isn't what he used to be, can be an asset to a team.

Finley is a different story, I've stated before, I am in the camp that thinks The Packers will never clear him to play.

Well we will see where the depth is on the line after training camp/pre-season. Finley is going to be something very interesting. He's got a pretty crazy dilemma with a potential insurance claim or retiring.
