my feeling is when "genius" type people don't answer a question, it's because they choose not to for very good reasons that are known only to them.

i agree his personality in interviews & such is ummm how do i say this "odd" to say the least.

good gawd - now i'm a friggin "teddy lover"!!! will it ever END??? LOL!

I didn't say that he didn't have a good reason for being so coy with everything. I'm just saying I don't care for those kinds of personalities. I almost always go out of my way to be straight up with people and when others don't, it makes me cautious of them.

Again, I jus don't much care for what I've seen in his personality, but I have 100% faith that he has the Packers best interest in mind ALL of the time.

This was another example of Thompsons unwillingness to pull the trigger on a blockbuster trade to obtain another weapon on offense.

Let's not mention that Carl is notoriously tough to deal with there Mr. McGinn.

F*%king TT....that irredeemable ass! He didn't throw away a second on an aging TE whose best days are behind him.

It's called the "Digs Doctrine"...a pre-emptive strike against the coming moans and groans from those who think it valuable to sign anybody out there...regardless of cost or level of play.

Woulda done it for a third, a second is out of line.

Is it just me, or are some of you also getting tired of players bitching their way out of a contract they signed when times were better?

Tony just redid his contract last year I believe.

I'd have gone with a 3rd plus a 7th in exchange for their 6th and Tony.

We have something like 9 picks plus the Jet's pick next draft.

I liked it when Ted Thompson didn't know why they drafted Jordy Nelson. LOL Nice answer!

I'm sure Tony has no problem with his contract, it's the dog shit team he plays for that bothers him. I would have been upset with giving up a second rounder for him as well. A third and maybe a lower pick would have been plenty. It seems to me we have done quite well in the second round lately.

Under Thompson, the Packers have drafted eight players in the second round. The list include Greg Jennings.

Best pick in the history of sports. Fact.

We gave up a third round pick for Jermichael Finley.

I'd rather have Tony Gonzalez for three years than Finley for five years on his rookie deal.

Hopefully Ted Thompson re-explores this trade after the season. The Chiefs GM has been notoriously frugal so we'll see what happens.

Chiefs are catching flack from their own fans. It looks like a Ray Bourque situation where even the home fans wanted to see him have a shot at a title. Instead, he's stuck on a crappy KC team that doesn't show any signs of improving.
