Of course Taylor was never ever added to the team to be an actual TE.
Some people look at his offensive stats then get all pouty that he doesn't put up numbers like Graham or Gonzalez.
He was added to the team to help the ST. He does very well so if they cut him they must have someone better on ST and from what I read he grades out very high in that area.
edit- something to consider with Taylor is his cost. A 4th year vet makes a min of $730,000. Rotoworld says his salary is $645,000. I don;t know if they waive the min due to him signing a multi year contract a few years ago or what.
Rookie min is $420,000. Uncle Teddy could pinch a few pennies by releasing him and signing SFA for the min.
