Talk is cheap. You really want to hold players accountable? Prove it.

This constant apologetic stance after every game with the same "We need to address it this week" sounds so much like the Sherman days... like I said last week.. I want to see some fire from him.. not just talk about it post game.

Yes, we don't see all the activity behind closed doors.. but this team seems to be lacking a spark.. someone needs to light it.

Another standard quote is "we're going to get that fixed", sadly enough it's not getting fixed and we are 5 weeks gone in the season.
This team looks flat and uninspired, something has to change, and fast, or we may very well see another 4-12 season.

I'd like to see what changes McCarthy adopts in trying to fix up the mental mistakes. Of all the things that happened, I think the single biggest standout for me was the fact that one of our ST players was FACING THE WRONG WAY as Crosby was attempting the onside kick (and sweet jeebus Mason, what was that?!).

The players are mentally unfocused and the coaches need to reel them in. I'm interested in seeing what they can do to rectify the situation for next week. I think these issues are easily correctable though, and when it happens I have no doubts the team will suddenly play like contenders again.

I used to have trust in McCarthy when he said 'this will be addressed an corrected' blah blah ... but now ... not so much.

I truly felt after the poor showing in Dallas and the second showing of 'shoot yourself in the foot' game against the Buccaneers that we'd come out blazing against the Falcons.

:ramboface: i disagree a little bit i did see m.m which was a first for the year show his anger yesterday,hopefully he kept it with him and let the team know it is time to show up at the games and play hard nosed football and i sure hope some of the coaches are fired up too
