If we add him to the 53, yes we would have to cut somebody. We are currently at the 53 man limit.

I wouldn't really mind seeing this, but I'm not sure that it'd be a good idea to change it up right now. This starting OLine seems to be in sync with each other, especially in the run game. It's really not THAT bad. Definitely would be good to have him for depth, and hopefully next year he can fight for a starting spot.

Same here. It's not like he was a pro bowler that we are getting back from an injury. If I am not mistaken all our O-linemen have played pretty much every snap together this season. That is a huge plus as the more they work together the better they get as a unit. If Sherrod is able to go do you replace Daktari or Barclay and risk upsetting the apple cart. On the other hand neither of these guys are tearing it up so if Sherrod represents a huge do you make the switch. In that case I say of course but only if he represents a bis upgrade, which may not be known for a few games.

I think Lang would be the backup right now. Also we re-signed Gerhart to the PS. I agree with you about Tretter for next season. As for not drafting a Center, it seems the Packers think (and I strongly agree) almost any O Lineman can easily be cross-trained as a Center.
