I can't see the players letting the NFL move to an 18 game schedule. I wish they would because they preseason games are a farce so why bother.

I could even live with a 16 game season and a 2 game preseason. All the better is they only charged 1/3 of the ticket prices that they charge int he regular season. Like that is going to happen. 🙄

The 18-game schedule is all about money. The owners just want to fill their pocket books and Roger Goodell will happily oblige.

Murphy has it right, though. You can't talk about player safety and then push for an 18-game season. That's where the NFL is running into a conundrum. I don't think you can have it both ways, but I suspect this push from the owners won't go away anytime soon.
