I think it was Chris Berman doing the interview, he said "Greg Jennings says that Rodgers throws the ball with more velocity than you"

Brett responded with something to the effect "I'm almost 40. When I was his age .... I could out throw him." I made it sound more jerkish than it really was. But that is something HUGE for Brett. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about him is that he PRIDES himself on his arm strength. For him to casually admit that Rodgers throws harder NOW than he does NOW. I find that respectful because I know how hard it is for Brett to say that.

I with you. I find it funny when people are comparing the 38 year old Farve to all these other QB's in their prime. Brady and Manning would love to be able to do what Favre does at his age

I think P Manning has already peaked. He may done in a few years. Ironically, P Manning may retire the same year BF does.

Brady has already lost a year.

I think BF is being honest. Yes, AR has the stronger arm now, but at AR 's current age vs BF at AR 's current age, BF had the much stronger arm.

I can appreciate that Brett/Aaron doesn't like the comparison, but on the other hand, 25 year old Brett is long gone and what the Packers had to decide whether to go with 38 year old Brett Favre or 24 year old Aaron Rodgers. So the comparison is always between now Brett and now Aaron.

The thing is, the strength of one's arm is only one aspect of a QB. Joe Montana never had a strong arm yet he's considered by many the greatest ever (until BF wins his 4th MVP this year).

The other thing is, AR and BF both have strong arms right now. Remember last year BF throwing that deep TD off his back foot? How many QBs today can do that? Probably only a handful.

There should not be a comparison between Brett and Aaron, they are two different people and two different players. Just like Brett said "Rodgers will do just fine, hes a great QB". I think they will both have their ups and downs this season just like all the other QB's in football. Its just a game win or loose it will still will be fun to watch both teams play. Its not a life or death situation. People get so wrapped up with the Brett and Aaron saga, people should worry more about whats more important in life.

Now lets just enjoy football this year weather it be rooting for the Pack or the Jets or both.

Favre still has a rifle and his arm is as strong as anyone out there. One of the things that made me a Favre fan and a Packer fan was his monster CANNON. As far as the Favre vs Rodgers arm strength. Not that it really matters but since someone brought it up a couple months ago, i've been paying attention.

I just dont see it. Take a 25 yard pass down the field and to the sideline. Favre's release is quicker. And i think he will get it there with more velocity. On long bombs, maybe Rodgers has him beat. I've noticed Rodgers has good deep ball but if it's better than Favre's, i havent really noticed it.

Zero2Cool (7h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (10h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (10h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (11h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (11h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (11h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (11h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (12h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (12h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (12h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (12h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (12h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (12h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (12h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (12h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (12h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (14h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (14h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (14h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately

dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.

Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
