Since I am rather new here I will be the first one to extend an olive branch of peace. I do not know most of you the way you know each other but in the short time I have been here I can see that the level of football knowledge, on average, is much higher than the CBS boards where I had spent most of my time. I've read several threads and posts here that I disagree with and I have made several posts that have prompted a lot of discussion and disagreement and not always in a good way. For the most part that is not a problem for even the disagreement has been more civil here.

It is obvious that draft time is an emotional time for many fans. It isn't for me because though I love the Packers I do not live and die by them. I choose not to let myself get worked up over something I can't control. I may not agree with everything that goes on and I will voice that disagreement but it just isn't worth as much effort to me as it is for some of you. That may come across as dispassionate to some but the behavior that I see as opposite seems to me to be over-zealousness. Different people react to different situations in different ways. I know that most of the comments I disagree with are made from the heart and with honest intent toward the good of the Packers. All of us want what is best for the Packers and it is obvious that we have differing opinions on what that is. None of us is really right, but the thing is none of us is really wrong either.

Like I said, we will not always agree but if anything I have said has been taken as a sign of disrespect I apologize. I do not know any of you personally, at least I don't think I do, and I would hate for comments on an anonymous website to be the cause of two Packers fans not getting along should we happen to meet on the street or in a Packer bar somewhere. The last thing I would want is for us to be enjoying a half of Packers football together and then for one of us to discover who the other one is on this, or any other site, and have that be the thing that defines the common ground we share.

Go Packers
Green & Gold forever

P.S. if any of you recognize me from the old CBS site and some of the discussions that went on there a few years back with one E. Wolf you may be wondering about the Green & Gold forever line. Let it be known that it has always been Green & Gold to me, I just couldn't resist pushing his buttons. And Wolf, if you are reading this, stop in and say hi.

hey sschind as I said on the other thread sorry if I was getting a little snarky. I try not to get too emotional over this things. Draft day is a little like Christmas. GB gets a whole bunch of new toys. It can be fun. I suppose I like great big toys and not a bunch of little ones (underwear and socks.) Yeah we need them too but they are not fun. Well maybe the ones I use to buy for me wife but that is another story that I won't go into.

I am glad you are going to stick around and get to know are idiosyncrasies a little better.

Edit- It has been a long day and I do not remember if I said it already. I use to be one of the first to spout the mantra that ted knows what he is doing and we know nothing at all. I rarely follow college ball so I know next to nothing about a player from Washington St or Nevada or U Conn. I didn't mind the players he got. The only thing that frustrated me was the trading back 3 times in the 3rd. It seemed excessive to me. And what he got for the moves were 7th round picks. I wouldn't have minded it so much if he gotten better rounds next year for the trades.

It's not like the Packers used a pick missing out on the greatest runner of all time, Barry Sanders.

As for this being an "anonymous website" ... F U! haha lol ... it is PackersHome.com thus it cannot be anonymous! :P

Also, he's right about offending people with opinions. People might say that your opinion's flat out wrong if they really really disagree with you, but unlike... other message boards, you're not going to get any "LOL dude you're retarded1!11shift+one" here. Besides, it's always nice to get a fresh perspective on things - I'm not as knowledgeable as most people here about football and I'll freely admit it, but it's helpful to have a lot of different viewpoints.

SSchind - these guys are all full of shit. All of them hold grudges and want to stick it to ya! Well maybe it's just me they do that to because of their envy. LOL

You're going to find out that this is a pretty good group of people that care about each other very much, especially here in the random babble. Give your opinion all you want, unless you're a right wing ding, there's enough Fascists here already.

Sshind, I'm fairly new here, and my advice to you is just don't be too sensitive or thin-skinned - and be able to dish it out as well as take it. If you can handle the Packer commentary, then maybe step up to the big leagues - talking politics in the Back Alley.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
