The champions of Super Bowl XLV chased their title run with a 15-1 regular season and a pair of division-round playoff losses.  To get back to the Super Bowl and win it once or more times during the remaining career of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Packers need to address multiple needs, sooner rather than later.

Florio doesn't seem to think DE or S are needs. interesting. I would rather focus on those two positions than the clipboard holder.

Any team that loses their starting QB is done. Forthwith, I expect you to have QB as every team need. Also, retroactively go back and say that teams like the Vikings need a running back. After all, if they lose Adrian Peterson, they’re done, too, right?

lets add Pro Football Weekly

TOP 3 OFFENSIVE NEEDS
OL
WR
RB

TOP 3 DEFENSIVE NEEDS
DE
S
DT

I dont see WR being as critical as some other positions. They already have 3 quality receivers along with Finley. Would it be nice to have more for down the road? Sure but is a 4th Wr more critical than any other position? Maybe Finely's replacement. Probably not.

CornerBlitz.com  has an interesting approach.
they lay out
high OLB, FS, RB
medium C, NT, QB
and low needs. LT, OG, WR

Wow wpr, those opinions are all over the place. Did any of them watch a Packers game?

DE, NT, S, C, LB, TE, LT, RB, WR.

I would say this is pretty much the row. In terms of rank, I think the first 3 are tops and maybe interchangeable. The last 6 are all nearly as important. We have more needs than picks, but if we can get starters at those first 3 or 4 positions, I think our team is right back in it.

These analyses are all over the map, which has a lot to do IMO with the many question marks concerning Packers injured last season and young players.

Sherrod, Bulaga, Bishop, and Perry are the most significant of those question marks. If you assume they will all be shaky, then O Line. ILB, and OLB are definitely the top positions of need. If you are not impressed with McMillian, then add Safety to that. I'm hopeful all of them will be solid, but we really won't know until the draft what Thompson/McCarthy think or know about those guys, as who they pick in the top half of the draft is hugely dependent on those five players being considered OK or not.

Myself, I think it is pretty obvious that D Line is the highest priority in the first round, and maybe another OLB even if Perry is solid in the second round.

I definitely think we don't need a center early in the draft or a RB or a WR.

We could be OK at: LB, RB, TE, LT depending on players returning from injury.

We are definitely not OK at DE, NT, S. I'm confident in EDS at C, but I'd like for them to add a pure mauler C for our future, freeing EDS to backup the Gs.

Bishop and Perry having good seasons will be really important for us. I like McMillian, but he doesn't look to be exceptional at S.

Zero2Cool (7h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (21h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (21h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you

wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
