The thing is, it's always going on in the back of a defender's mind. For one, adrenaline takes over and you're pretty much playing like a man possessed. The brain shuts off and all you can think of is getting in the end zone. Keep in mind that half the offensive players are sloppy tacklers so you imagine you should be able to break one or two of them. If your boys can get a good block or two, makes it even easier.
Now, Woody can actually break tackles. The guy's good at it. Collins had a free shot. Woody did too, but I'm just saying that if he had to, he can.
I love seeing our defenders take it to the house. Love it. It's the ultimate slap in the face. Here they are trying to take the lead and it blows up in their face. Morale immediately drops a few notches.
So yeah, thanks for thinking of me. I was really nervous before that first one. I hate close games.
