Jaire Alexander said he likes playing off. Jaire also said his new coach (Greg Williams) has been working with him trying to get him to play closer to the WR. So, if you're referencing the distance the CB's are from WR's, it seems like the CB's are the ones doing that and the coaches aren't holding them accountable for what they are "coaching".

I have never much cared for more than five yard cushions. And its' been around the Packers throughout the last three defensive coordinators.

I don't know this, but I think they were also playing off at times to try and bait them which helped with the INTs and almost INTs. Which both Douglass and Nixon should of had an INT off Douglass playing off that final Raiders TD drive but they missed. So I think it's partly them playing mind games.

Regarding cushions and playing off man.

When you are in press coverage 1-2 yards off, AND, you are in man coverage,:
- you are relatively worthless in run support because the DB has to focus all of his attention on the WR and it becomes very difficult to peak into to see what the OL is doing AND they can be run off very easily.
- It is much easier to get burned as one false step and its over

If you are in Zone, you can press and drop and still be effective in run support because you have help over the top.

Ironically, it is easier if a CB is going to jump a route, to do so 6-8 yards off
Go Packers!!!!

This topic has kind of spun off in different directions.
I'm gonna bring it back to the original topic.
The amazing thing here, and I went back and checked.
The Detroit Lions ARE THE FIRST TEAM IN HISTORY to be crowned Division Champions after FIVE weeks of the season!
Congratulations Lions, are they going to have a parade and hang a banner?

Will any of you be there?

Everybody knew going into this year, it was going to be a roller-coaster ride.

You don't like The Gm of this team, find another team.

You don't like the coaches on this team, find another team.

You don't like the talent that is on this team, find another team.

All the complaining in the world ISN'T GOING TO CHANGE A THING!

Things to remember.
The Packers don't have a 1st ballot HOF qb.......yet
The Packers don't have any elite wr's....yet.
The Packers don't have any Pro Bowl Te's.....yet.
The Packers assumptiive strengths on offense, Rb's and O-line, mostly because of injury, has not materialized.

Nobody feels sorry for The Packers, and nobody in the organization is using injuries as an excuse.
At some point, productivity is going to suffer, especially if one group is hit hard.
The silver lining IT'S STILL EARLY IN THE SEASON!

Anybody that wants to crown The Detroit Lions as Division Champions after 5 weeks, that's your choice.

Don't expect me to agree!

F-CK THE DETROIT LIONS !

GO! PACK! GO!
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Also would like to add, if anyone thinks a guy earning 35 million or more to sit on the bench would be wasting his time here, fuck them!

Mucky Tundra (3-Jun) : @ByRyanWood How much did the injury affect him last fall? “A lot.”
Mucky Tundra (3-Jun) : @ByRyanWood Kenny Clark said he had foot surgery in January. Injured his foot in opener against Eagles and played through it all year.
Zero2Cool (3-Jun) : Golden is wearing guardian cap again. I bet he plays with it on too.
Mucky Tundra (3-Jun) : All the stuff I'm reading from Lions fans are pointing at his toe; he more or less has permanent turf toe in one of his big toes
dfosterf (3-Jun) : Kenny played through it, and a shame he gets little credit for that, imo
dfosterf (3-Jun) : Big men. I hope it's not the undoing of Kenny Clark
dfosterf (3-Jun) : Probably his toe. Pretty much a great center. Toe injuries are brutal to bigen

beast (30-May) : Yeah, and I enjoyed your comments and just attempted to add to it. Sorry if I did it incorrectly.

Zero2Cool (29-May) : Whoa
beast (29-May) : OMG the website is now all white, even some white on white text
beast (29-May) : Henderson, who admits to taking cocaine during the Super Bowl against the Steelers, might dislike Bradshaw as he lost two Superbowls to him

Mucky Tundra (28-May) : Cooper stock=BUY BUY BUY
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : Also notes he’s playing with more confidence.
Mucky Tundra (28-May) : @AndyHermanNFL MLF says there was a time last year where Cooper was at 220 pounds. Now he’s at 240 and still flying around.

Mucky Tundra (28-May) : I haven't watched the pregame shows in years and I don't feel like I've missed a thing
Zero2Cool (28-May) : Love says knee affected him all season, groin injury didn't help matters.
Zero2Cool (28-May) : I used to enjoy him on FOX Pregame. Now it's like a frat party of former Patriots.
Zero2Cool (28-May) : LaFleur on Watson: “Christian is doing outstanding. I would say he’s ahead of schedule.”
Martha Careful (28-May) : Bradshaw is a dumb ass cracker. I am so tired of his "aw shucks" diatribe. He should shrivel up and go away.
buckeyepackfan (28-May) : He wad all butt hurt because Aaron duped the media saying he was immunized.
buckeyepackfan (28-May) : Bradshaw needs to retire. He's been ripping on Rodgers ever since the covid crap. He was all hury
Zero2Cool (28-May) : Terry Bradshaw doesn't want Rodgers in Pittsburgh lol wow
Zero2Cool (27-May) : one day contract, which he also feels is pointless, but if Packers came to him, he would
