I predict that Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler will be meeting each other in superbowl duels in years to come...

I had no idea the Superbowl could be NFC vs NFC

Trent Edwards is a really close second for me though.

BTW...

Of all the QBs that have come out since 2004.

Jay Cutler, Jason Campbell, Vince Young, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, Brody Croyle, Alex Smith(does he even't count now?), JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Tavaris Jackson, Ingle Martin,
Briah Brohm, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Chad Henne, John David Booty, Matt Leinart, Matt Guiterrez,
Kyle Orton..etc etc....

I'd pick Aaron over all of those QBs. I've said that since 05. Now you see why.

Dunno man.. Flacco and Ryan I may take over A-Rod.. Sanchez is looking to be pretty good for a rookie, too.

I was looking through some of Rodgers stats earlier cause I was bored and I noticed that he has only had 2 games in his career so far where he's thrown more than 1 interception. Thought that was pretty impressive.

I agree with the premise of this thread. Aaron Rodgers is the cream of that crop and it won't be long before it's obvious to the rest of the league.

I see a man who's masterpiece pick is finally being displayed
for all to see.

I like Ted Thompson, but this statement is more than a little misleading. Rodgers fell into Ted's lap. No one expected him to be available then. And, IIRC, we hadn't done more than cursory scouting on him.

{Edit: I wouldn't have quoted this if I had bothered to check the date first...}

For what reason would you take Flacco and Ryan over Rodgers?

Is it the wins? (team game)

Is it the stats? (unlikely; Rodgers holds most of the good ones)

Is it the leadership? (Rodgers seems to have the full respect of his team)

Is it the fact that Rodgers is simply the Packers QB?

Interesting post now that Alex Smith is the starter of the 49ers and the Bears lost badly to the Bengals. The Bears better hope Cutler pans out they paid a fortune for him and have no draft picks to fix their oline. The Packers play the 49ers this year don't they? I see the media bringing up the 2005 draft comparasions again.

Id take Aaron Rodgers 1st too but my 2nd would be Jason Cambell

No no no no no.

I live in DC and have no choice but to watch the 'Skins. :pukeright:

Jason Campbell can throw a beautiful 70 yard bomb, but can't throw a 5 yard dump off. He holds on to the ball too long and sucks in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.

He was the quarterback picked right before we picked Aaron Rodgers

What a wonder a year makes. Do people still feel that way about Jason Campbell?

I'm pretty sure Rodgers was picked #24 overall, Matt Jones, QB/WR, picked #21 and Jason Campbell #25 (Redskins would have picked Rodgers if he fell this far - oops, too late, so sad).
