I have read quite a few say that the Packers are lacking that home field advantage they once had. So, I went back and checked the standings because I thought the Packers had done fairly well at home. The last four seasons, playoffs included, the Packers are 29 - 5 at Lambeau Field.

My question would be, is 29 wins out of 34 games ... bad?

Actually  it's the best home win % of any team in the league tied with Baltimore

Since I'm too lazy to check postseason records, here's regular season for the Packers over the last 4 years:
Regular Season Road Record: 19-13
Regular Season Home Record: 28-4

That would be a +9 differential, which still seems substantial.

They do good at home, until the playoffs now, it seems. Yes, they beat up on the Vikings, but look who their QB was.
And even with the horrible QB Minnesota had, the Packers didn't blow them out.

To expand on Porforis' data would be to do similiar stats for all the other NFL teams and compare the number + or - number of home or road wins. But... that sounds like a lot of work, so I will just say that although I wouldn't trade the team or stadium for anything, the impression I have gotten is that the Lambeau Field advantage is not as large as the talking heads say. I get the impression that the broadcast teams don't really stay on top of the Packers all that well ("The Packers are known to be a good screen team",..."Reggie Cobb",..."Lambeau is tough for visiting teams"...).

The mid 90's Packers had Lambeau Mystique, the 60's Packers had Lambeau Mystique, Mike Sherman and Mike McCarthy have lost home playoff games and so went the Lambeau Mystique.

Until Mike Vick ran wild on Lambeau field, the Packers had never lost a home playoff game. But by all means boys - go wild on the stats.

28-4 is damnned good. If we played every game at home, that's almost 2 full seasons of 14-2 football. I don't think anybody says "Yeah, we're screwed" when they have to go to Lambeau, but it's obvious we play much better at home.

We are 3-4 at home in the playoffs since losing to ATL in 2002. 3-3 away in that same span.

We are kinda "dome-ish". I have no problem with that, personally.
