Like everyone else said they are the better team, they were the better team today. Is it really that suprising that a 12-4 team that was on a 6 game winning streak beat a 8-7-1 team? And the Packers being 2 weeks removed from finally getting Aaron back after missing 8 weeks?

If the 49ers were suchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh toughys and that was the reason they beat us because of their pure toughness and the lack there of of ours, why the hell didn't we get steamrolled by them?

I saw Eddie Lacy and Kuhn pound the shit out of guys, our offensive line has BIG men and they were opening holes. Don't give the finesse bullshit either, because I'm pretty sure we've ran the ball pretty god damn well this year...

I don't know what to think about this subject about how big or buff our players have to be.. It's pretty ridiculous when we start blaming it on how tough our players are, and that be the reason we lose games. I mean when we beat guys like the Bears and Cowboys are they less tough than we are....?

The reality is it's not about this nonsense, it's about winning and knowing how to win. The 49ers have just been the hotter team the last few years... It's not like we're the first team to have this happen to us.

Haven't we had their number for like 3 or 4 games straight games before we faced them in 2012? Back when Singletary was the coach.

I mean did we out tough them then? or..... Ya know... we had a good team maybe....

He was doing it all nearly all on his own to get those 81 yards. Well sure the line is going to open a hole from time to time. They should they are in the NFL but did they do that consistently? No. Did they do it half the time? Not a chance. The OL was a C- on the run at best. I give them that high of a grade simply because of the 3rd and 4th effort of Lacy pulling their average up. As for the pass protection Aaron was running for his life all game long. I won't say the line was a sieve but it sure leaked a lot. D+. Less than 200 yards from the best QB in the NFL is appalling. The only way they would have been over 200 is if the WR would have made circus catches while covered, sometimes by 2 defenders. The play calling was weak as well. First 3 possessions were a goose egg. Inexcusable. On the goal line having Cobb try to run for the TD was pathetic. What makes a fast WR so effective out of the backfield? Space for him to run. In tight coverage like they were in he had no chance. I could see that play developing from IL. SF was not surprised either.

As far as SF not steam rolling the defense certainly the weather contributed to that. SF knew they were going to win. They put out just enough effort to get the win. They didn't have to roll up the score and they knew it. Just keep the clock running and they will get the W.

I am out of time or I would critique the D as well.

Sometimes teams are just better than you, that is certainly true of the 49ers, and it doesn't help when the Packers are already banged up, and get hit hard again with injuries during the game. You can create a paintbrush excuse for any argument you feel like making, but a superior opponent beat the Packers yesterday.

I actually thought Lambeau was rocking tonight. I was impressed. It seemed like there was a lot of energy in the stadium, more than I've seen in awhile . . . at least from my living room. You could really tell how bad Green Bay fans want to beat the 49'er's. Unfortunately for the Packers, the 49'er's are just a better team than the Packers, and they have proved it every chance they've gotten lately. They have much more talent, play with much more heart, and are coached much better. It's no surprise to me at all that they lost, once again.

You could see Kaepernick trying to make adjustments on the line but we were so damn loud ... TIME OUT. It was great. And made us get even louder lol.

That goes beyond a few plays here and there and Eddie Lacy. It needs to be consistent.

Whatever Lambeau Mystique we had was lost in the Mike Sherman era v. ATL. Have not had it since.

I appreciate Mike Holmgren et al for giving us a Lambeau Mistique… a real home field advantage.

Forget stadium mystique. Every half way good team thinks they have it - Seattle, Philadelphia, to name just two, various others in the past. Noise helps slightly, but is basically overrated. It's all about players - having the best players, and secondarily, gameplanning, scheming, and playcalling by the coaches. The better team wins about 90-95% of the time; The other 5-10% is LUCK - bounces, officiating, injuries, etc. Home field advantage is in the heads of the players - familiarity as well as psychological - not about fans.

This thread has drifted into stuff like toughness, etc. That also is overrated. Skill, athleticism, speed, and brains all come way ahead of toughness. If you want toughness, go become a Lions fan, and see how much good it does.

Omg people. Quit it with this "they know they were gonna win" the game turned into whoever had the ball last would win.hyde makes a pick the 49ers lose. Cobb makes his man miss they'd need a TD to win.

Fact is it was an even game and one te won. This wasn't like last year. The biggest difference being , we didn't turn the ball over like we did the 2 previous games.

Either way, we have a lot to fix on D. Especially safety
