To that end,

I have never been so intrigued by a season since Rodgers took over. Honestly we have a lot working against us right now. To see us emerge from this good enough to win the NFC conference would be absolutely thrilling to watch!

Despite what you may have heard, the replacement officials working in the NFL while the regular officials remain embroiled in a contract negotiation are doing just fine.

"The Packers knew that David Akers would have to kick his record-tying 63-yard FG low to get it there. The only defender with his hands up was the squatty Raji."

Why the hell didn't everyone throw their arms up to try and block the low trajectory field goal attempt? Fire the damn Special Teams coach, wtf.

If Trent Dilfer can QB a Super Bowl win, so can Alex Smith.

The 2011 Niners allowed 229 points, which is still pretty freaking good. But Ravens 2000 D still smokes Niners 2011 D. Also keep in mind the Niners had a very weak division to play against.

Niners over-achieved last year, just like we did. You all still give the Niners too much credit. It's not that they're that good, it's we're that bad. Our D is a joke, and you simply cannot rely on an O every single game to win games. This has been historically proven over and over and over again. I have no idea how many times I've statistically shown this. Heck, I've been a guest on the radio explaining this before.

And lastly, I said before da Bears' last SB that "da Bears will NEVER win a Super Bowl with Rex Grossman." I said it, and it became true.

I'll now say this - the Niners will NEVER win a SB with Alex Smith. It will be true. Mark it down.

The rushing stats REALLY stuck out for me. We had 35 yards or something like that. That is just unacceptable.

Well boys, here's how it was....is...and will play out.

Green Bay was smoked at home by San Francisco, in a game that showed that the Packers have many weaknesses and are one dimensional on offense…..again.
The Packers had problems running the ball, to the point that Aaron Rodgers led the team in rushing yards.

And the Packers defense, well...burned for 377 yards, 186 of them on the ground, giving up 5.8 yards per rush and forcing not a single interception or lost fumble.
Not to mention that Woodson, DJ Smith and Morgan Burnett all whiffed on tackling Frank Gore on a 23-yard touchdown.
Rushing for 112 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown, Frank Gore pretty much had his way with the Packers' defense.

In come the Bears who gave rookie Andrew Luck a warm welcome by chewing up the Colts 41-21.

The Bears are totally a different team this year. They showed why they reunited Brandon Marshall with Jay Cutler by connecting nine times for 119 yards and a TD.... and this success will continue Thursday night.
And Matt Forte...well...he is simply a beast, a complete back.

Chicago’s high powered defense will come to Lambeau, pressure Rodgers and pretty much shut down the Packers...with Rodgers spending a considerable amount of time in the horizonal position.

And with a Chicago offense that looks revitalized...this will be a high scoring game….for da Bears.

And me thinks that a few of da Bears defensive boys will give some “love” to Cedric Benson.

Bears by 17….book it.

Smith is not a great QB. He's not a good QB. He's a serviceable quarterback. But the weapons he has really overshadows that fact.

Moss too avoids contact. A physical CB could take him out of the game. Why we didn't have Woodson rough him up at the line, I have no idea. Yet another reason I'm scratching my head as why a simple fan gets this and our DC doesn't.

Manningham is awesome as a #3 WR, but that's what he is and that's what he'll always be. So is Crabtree.

Vernon Davis is one of the best TEs in the game. Gore is one of the best well-rounded RBs in the game.

So yes, Davis and Gore are elite players.

Their OL however is really bad at pass protection. They're the opposite of us. Good at run blocking, bad at pass protection. Smith led the NFL last year in sacks. Yes, a lot of it is Smith's fault as Smith can read a blitz about as well as Lovie Smith understands how to run an offense.

So are they a complete team? No. Watch what happens when the Niners play a real team. Mark my words.

I wouldn't have wasted Charles Woodson on Randy Moss, but I'd let Jarrett Bush slam the shit out of him with a safety keeping the top secure in case Bush got toasted. Let Moss and Bush cancel one another out. It's a bigger loss to the 49ers than the Packers, lol.

I used to be excited about the Packers defense ... now ... I can equal it to how I felt every time Brett Favre threw one up 40+ yards ... it could prove to be fantastic, or tragic.

I haven't focused too much on the defense, but in reading articles and the few times I did pay attention to the defense... they played soft on the WR. I'd rather play man to man. Every play, jam them WR's at the line. Make use of the few rules the defense has at their disposal.

How come Dom Capers doesn't see this?
